We are happy to provide home study services for families in Texas who are pursuing a domestic adoption.  We provide a thorough home study in a timely manner.  A rough draft of the home study is normally available for review within 2 weeks of the home visit.  The final draft is normally delivered to you in less than a month from the time of the home visit.  We are considerate of your time and we are willing to schedule the home visit for a time in the evening or a time during the weekend.  Your home study will be completed by an adoption worker who is knowledgeable in adoption issues.  An agency license is available.  A flat fee of $1000 is charged for the home study.  There are no additional charges for travel or miscellaneous fees. 

If you are adopting a child born or residing in another state then you must have permission from the state the child was born in and from Texas before you can bring the child home to Texas.  We can assist you with interstate compact compliance.  There is a $100 fee for this service. 

Do you need a home study for a step-parent adoption?  We are happy to conduct your home study.  The flat fee for a step-parent adoption home study is $800.

UPDATE SERVICES
AND HOME STUDIES FOR SUBSEQUENT PLACEMENTS:

In Texas, home study updates are required every 6 months until placement occurs.  We are able to complete your update even if we did not complete your original home study.  We are happy to conduct your update in a timely manner.  The flat fee for home study updates is normally $200 for DFW metroplex families and $300 for  families outside of the DFW metroplex.  If we did not conduct your original home study then the fee for the update may be slightly higher depending upon the quality of the original home study.   

Home studies for subsequent placements are normally completed at a lesser fee.  If we conducted your home study for your previous adoption then an update fee will be charged.  If your home study for your previous adoption was conducted by another agency then the fee will be determined after reviewing the previous home study.    

POST-PLACEMENT SERVICES:

Post-placement requirements may vary depending upon the state where finalization will occur.  We are happy to meet all of your post-placement needs.  We can assist you with your post-placements even if we did not provide you with home study services.  The flat fee for the post-placement is $200 for DFW metroplex families per post-placement which requires a home visit and $300 for families outside of the DFW metroplex per post-placement which requires a home visit.
